Closer Bernard McGuigan

Bernard uses a sharp chisel and heavy mallet to transform stone into human curves. He has worked with stone since the age of 16 and selects his materials based on colour and texture to create graceful distinctive pieces. His work has a sense of tranquillity that shows human tenderness in a harsh and competitive world.

Bernard McGuigan

Bernard was born in the UK in 1956. He was formally an associate of the Royal Society of British Sculptors and has exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art. Bernard’s work features in a number of private and public collections in the UK and abroad.
