Summary

Fatso Jane Fine

Jane's work combines the figurative and abstract, incorporating a variety of painting techniques. This is one of three paintings with cheerful titles that are offset by a sense of change, collapse and urban decay. Jane’s work shows unsteady structures barely supported by scaffolding, nails, bricks and boards. She uses glossy multi-coloured acrylic paint to create areas of flat colour which are then overlaid with glossy swaths of colour, vigorous brushwork and drawn lines.
