Limbo Yee Jan Bao

Blurring the boundaries between the real and the imaginary, Bao captures fantastical moments in his paintings. Here he is inspired by the films of Ang Lee and their gravity-defying martial arts moves. The figures we see are based on a book about Karate techniques, drifting against a hazy backdrop and creating as sense of suspended time and action.
