- Summary
Study (The Patriot+King Arthur+Conan the Barbarian) Jim Gaylord
Jim collects film stills from big budget action movies to create compositions and paintings using oil and watercolours. In this work he creates a single image by painting two sheets of acetate and one of paper individually in watercolours prepared with gum. David then places the work on a registration peg to resemble a traditional animation, building the layers so that they become distilled and suspended in time.
