The Zero of Form Estelle Thompson

Estelle’s landscapes on canvas have morphed over time into abstract compositions, and we can see how she has tried to create a sense of order within them. She says “sometimes I find them decorative, but I really think that the decorative element in my painting is redundant. Any pattern or mark on the canvas has to work in a functional way”.
