Summary

Untitled IV Mark Francis

Mark is known for his use of colour and large oil paintings that represent microscopic imagery and scientific images that range from fauna to insects, geology, astronomy and medicine. He draws inspiration from biological forms when recreating shapes and markings, but these are not easily identifiable and create a sense of the abstract. This series of prints shows how Mark portrays microscopic images using bold colour and brushstrokes.
